All guidesLight that looks bright may not answer the UVB question

Keep lighting product details, installation and replacement information with the species-specific plan.
What to know
Merck notes that lighting labels can be confusing and that transparent barriers can filter UVB. Requirements differ by species. Have a qualified professional review lamp type, position, barriers and the care plan instead of judging suitability by visible brightness.
Record the manufacturer, model and install date, and keep original instructions. The replacement schedule and placement must fit the product and species; this page does not give a universal distance or timer setting. After a change, document both the equipment and any observed behavior change. Do not use the worksheet to self-treat a suspected deficiency.
