All guidesAn indoor rabbit home is more than a hutch

Plan room for activity, rest and safe exploration. Check the home from the rabbit's level before allowing access.
What to know
RSPCA's indoor rabbit guidance stresses a suitable living environment and the practical work of rabbit-proofing. Note exposed cables, access behind furniture and anything that could be chewed or swallowed. A room that looks tidy to a person may still contain hazards.
Record the areas the rabbit can reach and what was changed. Keep exercise and resting arrangements part of the daily routine rather than treating them as occasional extras. Ask a rabbit-experienced veterinarian about individual needs. This worksheet records a safety review and does not certify a room or prescribe dimensions for every setup.
